Air Jordan VII "Bordeaux"

It ain’t no April Fools joke – the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’ is indeed releasing this April. It’s been a long nineteen years since the Bordeaux VII was last released, as it was the first Air Jordan VII colorway worn by Michael Jordan when he rocked them during the ’92 All-Star Game.

Nike Air Max 1 "ACG Pack"

The Nike Air Max 1 will continue to release in extraordinary color schemes next year. This trio of brightly colored samples feature colors usually seen during the spring season; therefore, we expect an early 2011 release. The main color and material used on the first pair is a turquoise felt texture on the mudguard, side and heel panels. A second hit of red can be seen vividly on the inner liner, laces and swoosh while a final hint of of navy on the upper toe box and branding finishes this pair off. The second pair uses a black mesh base to blend in with pink, purple and yellow hits on the toe box, side and heel panels, inner liner, and laces. The third and final pair of this 2011 preview is predominately black. This is by far the most mellow of the group as the only colors seen on the pair is a green swoosh and pink laces.

Levi's Photo Workshop: A Stylish DIY Free-for-All

If only all huge corporations gave back to the community like this: Levi's opened the doors to the second installment of its workshop series in New York on Friday, focusing on photography. The first, in the company's hometown of San Francisco, was all about printmaking, and that kind of DIY attitude is just as prevalent here.
Anyone who walks into the workshop off the street is entitled to sign out one of the dozens of vintage cameras available for loan, get a little refresher on how to use them, and then get the film developed or the digital versions printed. While you do have to pay to take home your film stills, the digital stuff is free, and the formats are impressive: postcards, t-shirts, full-on posters are all gratis. The latter would be most appropriate for the in-house studio (with full lighting schemes and technicians) available for use by the general public as well. The Photo Workshop, housed in the former Deitch Projects space at 18 Wooster Street, will have its doors open for three months along with plenty of community programming, online and in-store.
There are, of course, other things for sale, but the offerings are limited to what a photographer would want, or need. The only clothes are trucker jackets and five-pocket cords, the only bags are for carrying camera equipment, and the only books are about photography. It's an immersive experience and an opportunity for pros and amateurs alike to use equipment not available to the public (for pay or free), and in that, it's also a challenge. Levi's has put up the resources and the venue; now it's up to the public to use them wisely.

Concepts X Sperry Bahama Chukka

This Bahama Chukka is inspired by Sperry’s “Passion for the Sea” and dedicated to the ocean’s influence on New England. Set to release this Friday, the Concepts-designed sneaker owns a tan nubuck majority with hits of navy duck canvas near the collar. The structured wool ribbing, also navy, is reminiscent of classic naval outerwear, which served as further inspiration. Grab a pair for $110 on October 15th, exclusively at Concepts.

Skype Now Available for All Android Devices

Skype is now available for the Android platform, but only on devices running Android version 2.1 or later.
The Android app lets users make free SkypeSkype-to-Skype calls, as well as send and receive IMs for free. Calls to phones are charged at Skype’s standard rates. The app is capable of making calls on both Wi-Fi and 3G, though all carriers except Verizon are limiting it to Wi-Fi.
If you already have a Skype account, you’ll be able to instantly access your contact list on your Android device after logging in.
Skype for iPhone, which was launched in May 2010, is one of the most successful apps on the iOS platform, and we expect the Skype for Android to become a hit, too.
Android users can install Skype over on skype.com/m or through the Android Market. Check out an introductory video below.
Update: To clarify, Skype for Mobile has long been available to Verizon customers. Today’s release makes available Skype for the Android platform as a whole. Non-Verizon subscribers will now be able to download Skype for Android through the Android Marketplace — regardless of carrier — as long as the device runs Android 2.1 or higher

Nike Athletics Far East- Lava Dunk

The Nike Lava Dunk is part of the Nike Sportswear Athletics Far East, sort of a ‘yin’ to the Athletics West ‘yang’. Taking inspiration from the Athletics West training facility, the Nike Sportswear AFE collection originated in Nike Sportswear Design Studio in Japan and features a collection of classically inspired footwear, with the camouflage print being the signature staple of the Nike AFE capsule. We can expect two colorways of the Nike AFE Lava Dunk – black as well as a khaki beige – on October 1st, so continue reading for detailed gallery as well as full specs of this hybrid shoe and let us know what you’d expect from the Nike AFE (Athletics Far East) Collection.

They Finally Got It Right!!!!!!!

It looks like the heat-wave is going to be a lot hotter than we anticipated. Another rumored release making some noise is the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ and Air Jordan XI ‘Columbia’, with a possibility of both releasing together as a package. Both the Concords and Columbias have not seen the light of day since 2000 and 2001 respectively, although we did get a Concord-like release with the Air Jordan XI DMP of 2006 and the Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary from earlier this year.

Casio G-Shock "Jason" G-001

Bold and bright, the new CASIO G-SHOCK “Jason” (how appropriate) styles are available in three different colorways that are set to divide the fashion pack this season – matt black, black and pink and aquatic blue. With superior features twinned with a tactile feel, the super round G-001 is great for anyone that desires function or fashion this fall. All colorways are now available in-store at G-SHOCK EAST.

1st Look: Motorola DEFY

If you saw the Defy and read its specifications, you’d think it’s just another Android smartphone: it sports a 3.7” touchscreen display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution, an 800 MHz CPU, a 5-megapixel camera with a flash, aGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a microUSB jack.
However, the Defy is resistant to dust, scratches and impact, as well as water, making it quite a different beast from most other smartphones of its ilk. Most importantly, the extra protection doesn’t come at the expense of size and weight: the phone’s dimensions are 59 x 107 x 13.4 mm and it weighs 118 grams. It compares favorably to iPhone 4’s weight of 137 grams, although it is 4.1 mm thicker than Apple’s smartphone.

Air Jordan V Retro "Grape/Laney Pack" Rumored For Release

BREAKING NEWS:
There is currently a tasty rumor swirling around, proclaiming that, in addition to the eagerly-anticipated Air Jordan Retros that we already know of, there will be another high-profile Jordan 2-pack hitting retail in 2011. While it hasn’t yet been officially confirmed, it looks like we may see a pack next summer containing 2 of the best colorways of  any Jordan, the Grape (Fresh Prince's) and Laney colorways of the Air Jordan V. The reported package will likely be a Summer 2011 release, but at this point, nothing is set in stone. Stay tuned for word on an official confirmation.
