Apple iOS 4 iPod/iPhone Software Update Available Now

Still kicking yourself for not pre-ordering the Apple iPhone 4 earlier? Or mad at AT&T for its network debacle? This “may” just be the consolation prize – the Apple iOS 4.
Formerly the iPhone OS 4, Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs re-christened it to iOS 4 at WWDC earlier this month, marked the possibility for future migration to other Apple devices. The new operating system incorporated over 100 new features. Topped the list includes Folders, a new organization process for Apps, improved e-mail client, the just introduced iBook, upgrade 5x digital zoom… The most anticipated, however, is the ability to finally multitask.
The new iOS 4 will work with the soon-to-be-launch iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, and the more recent iPod Touch. Because of hardware incompatibility, some of the functions will now work on the older variants. One example, multitasking is only available on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.
The Apple iOS 4 for iPhone and iPod Touch is currently available for down at iTune. Follow these 4 simple steps:
*Suggest to backup your iPhone files before installing the new OS
1. Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
2. When iTunes opens, select your iPhone under Devices in the Source List on the left.
3. In the iPhone Summary pane, click Check for Update.
4. Click Download and Install. Do not disconnect your iPhone until the update has finished.
