NBA2K11- Michael Jordan Cover Unveiled

Michael Jordan signed an exclusive licensing agreement with the NBA back in 1992 that allowed His Airness to totally control his video game likeness.  As a result, MJ was replaced by generic shooting guards in all of the basketball games that hit store shelves after EA Sports’ Bulls vs. Blazers and the NBA Playoffs.  Having appeared in a couple of EA’s NBA Street releases in the early part of this century, Jordan is back on the digital block, but this time, as the coverboy for Electronic Arts’ biggest competitor in the sports games space.

NBA 2K11 marks the first time MJ has been on the front of a game package since Space Jam hit the original PlayStation and Sega Saturn all the way back in ‘95. Will this be enough to keep the NBA 2K series atop sales charts for another year?  via ESPN
