Loopwheeler X Clarks Originals – Desert Boots + Wallabee

After a few initial glimpses, Satoshi Suzuki of Loopwheeler finally unveiled the latest collaboration with footwear label Clarks Originals. In the forms of Desert Boots and Wallabee, 2 silhouette that made Clarks famous, each to feature a suede appliqué on the top half of the upper, in black, while the rest clothed in fine Loopwheeler fleece of its signature grey. Quipped with natural rubber outsole, unstained for the Desert Boots, blacken for the Wallabee, both furnished with a bright blue insole, etched with labels of both companies. Hinted on the Loopwheeler website, Suzuki mentioned more, including release information, to come tomorrow.

Jay-Z Teams With Gucci for Exclusive “Decoded” Jacket

EVERY TRICK IN THE BOOK: Jay-Z is launching his first book, “Decoded,” with a scavenger hunt of sorts sponsored by search engine Bing — with Gucci in on the game. Pages of the book have been placed in various places meaningful to the hip-hop impresario, with clues revealed on Jay-Z’s Facebook and Twitter pages, Jay-Z.com and on a dedicated Bing site, with fans winning prizes for finding them. On Thursday, Gucci revealed two of the pages in the windows of its Fifth Avenue flagship, printed on the lining of a one-of-kind leather bomber jacket designed by creative director Frida Giannini. The display will remain on view until Nov. 16, when the book goes on sale — and then the jacket will be gifted to Jay-Z. Other places where pages from the book can be found include the bottom of the pool of the Delano hotel in Miami and underneath plates at the Spotted Pig restaurant in New York.

Kanye's Today Show Interview Fallout

Earlier this week, Kanye West was a guest on the Today Show with Matt Lauer to discuss the comments he made towards George Bush in 2005 and why he now empathizes with him. After the interview, Kanye posted to his twitter account that Matt Lauer tried to force his answers in the interview by running audio of the MTV incident while he was talking:

I went up there to express how I was empathetic to Bush because I labeled him a racist and years later I got labeled as a racist…. While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the “MTV” under me with audio!!!!!!! I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT.

The Today Show has released the video interview and before that segment of the clip, Matt Lauer responds to Kanye’s tweets by explaining that they often run video of the specific moment in question while the guests are talking. “It’s something that we do everyday. There was nothing improper or unusual about it whatsoever”. He then plays the rest of the video where Kanye asks:

“How am I suppose to talk if you are going to run this thing while I’m talking? Please don’t let that happen again. That’s ridiculous.”

Despite his distaste with how the interview was handled, Kanye West is scheduled to return to the Today Show on the Friday after Thanksgiving for a performance on the plaza.


Random Observation: I always thought that they added the footage or audio during editing, not while the guest was on (unless it was for a live show). I learn something new every day.

The GZA gets behind the camera as he directs Wu-Tang Revealed, a comprehensive documentary into the lives of the Wu-Tang Clan. Apparently this has been 10 years in the making. No word how or when this will be distributed. This will be a “must see” for any Wu-Tang fan.

Do you even know who Tinker Hatfield is? Did you do like everyone else and hop from AF1..to..Dunks..to..Jordan 1’s..to..Air Stab’s..to..AirMax90..to..AMax1’s..to..Jordan 4’s..to..CourtForces..to..Blazers just because your lame ass didn’t know shit about kicks. We only bounced around to get away from you. (And those aren’t Blazers now..there Classic’s and Toki’s). Now we gotta compete with u dude that jumped off Creative Rec’s shit to Clae’s. The same dudes that can’t tell a Chuck Taylor from a Weapon. The same dudes that don’t know there are AF-II’s and III’s.
