Hits Daily Double has just released their sales tally chart for last weeks albums… with Kanye West’s MBDTF moving 518,775 units – Nick Minaj’s Pink Friday scanning 371,049 units and Rihanna moves another 133,662 units of her Loud album it’s second week in stores.  Ne-Yo’s new album Libra Scale came in at #8 with sales of 117,800 units its first week out. LONG BEACH - A 32-year-old Long Beach man who was arrested on suspicion of using an incendiary-destructive device in a neighborhood west of downtown was arraigned in court Monday.
Garret Lengyel was charged with three felony counts, possession of a destructive device, arson of property and possession of a deadly weapon, according to court documents.
He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
Lengyel was arrested Thursday in the 400 block of Crystal Court in connection with at least one explosion near an apartment building Nov. 5 near 430 Daisy Ave., said Steve Yamamoto Long Beach Fire Department spokesman.
Multiple pieces of evidence linking Lengyel to the explosion were found in his apartment. Arson investigators uncovered evidence suggesting Lengyel may have been involved in other arsons, too, Yamamoto said.
The explosion, which occurred around 4 a.m. and was caught on the building's surveillance cameras, rocked sleeping residents who told investigators these types of explosions were becoming more and more frequent, Yamamoto said.
The surveillance video shows a man believed to be Lengyel arrive in the alley with the device. A short time later the man leaves the alley, and within six seconds a large flash and fire are seen on the video. The device exploded outside the bedrooms windows of occupied apartments and homes, Yamamoto said.

EVERY TRICK IN THE BOOK: Jay-Z is launching his first book, “Decoded,” with a scavenger hunt of sorts sponsored by search engine Bing — with Gucci in on the game. Pages of the book have been placed in various places meaningful to the hip-hop impresario, with clues revealed on Jay-Z’s Facebook and Twitter pages, Jay-Z.com and on a dedicated Bing site, with fans winning prizes for finding them. On Thursday, Gucci revealed two of the pages in the windows of its Fifth Avenue flagship, printed on the lining of a one-of-kind leather bomber jacket designed by creative director Frida Giannini. The display will remain on view until Nov. 16, when the book goes on sale — and then the jacket will be gifted to Jay-Z. Other places where pages from the book can be found include the bottom of the pool of the Delano hotel in Miami and underneath plates at the Spotted Pig restaurant in New York.

Target To Sell $3 Appliances On Black Friday

Here's a sampling of what Black Friday shoppers at Target stores could score this year: $3 appliances, deep deals on HDTVs and 50% off on clothes and toys, according to a website that says it has received a leaked copy of the retailer's circular.

Brad Olson, founder of Gottadeal.com, a site that markets itself as one of many "official" Black Friday deal sites, said Wednesday that he received a copy of the discount retailer's ad.

Target spokeswoman Jessica Carlson declined to comment on the leaked circular other than to say that the company will officially unveil the Black Friday deals online on Nov. 24 and the print circular will reach homes on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.

Kanye's Today Show Interview Fallout

Earlier this week, Kanye West was a guest on the Today Show with Matt Lauer to discuss the comments he made towards George Bush in 2005 and why he now empathizes with him. After the interview, Kanye posted to his twitter account that Matt Lauer tried to force his answers in the interview by running audio of the MTV incident while he was talking:

I went up there to express how I was empathetic to Bush because I labeled him a racist and years later I got labeled as a racist…. While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the “MTV” under me with audio!!!!!!! I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT.

The Today Show has released the video interview and before that segment of the clip, Matt Lauer responds to Kanye’s tweets by explaining that they often run video of the specific moment in question while the guests are talking. “It’s something that we do everyday. There was nothing improper or unusual about it whatsoever”. He then plays the rest of the video where Kanye asks:

“How am I suppose to talk if you are going to run this thing while I’m talking? Please don’t let that happen again. That’s ridiculous.”

Despite his distaste with how the interview was handled, Kanye West is scheduled to return to the Today Show on the Friday after Thanksgiving for a performance on the plaza.


Random Observation: I always thought that they added the footage or audio during editing, not while the guest was on (unless it was for a live show). I learn something new every day.

Fans Treated to Impromptu Kanye West Concert Aboard Plane

Passengers aboard a Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis to NYC literally experienced the coolest night of their collective lives Nov. 5 when they were treated to a surprise performance by Mr. Kanye West. A passenger tells HollywoodLife.com that Kanye, who was seated in First Class, came on the loud speaker about 30 minutes into the flighI had to pass through First Class to get my seat in Economy, and I saw Kanye sitting there with a little drink in his hand,” t and rapped family-friendly versions of “The Good Life” and “Gold Digger.”

“the passenger recalls. “I wouldn’t have even thought it was him, but he was sitting with a very PR-looking lady.”

Needless to say, everyone freaked out when they heard Kanye’s voice over the loudspeaker 30 minutes later.

“He was like, ‘Yo, this your n***a, Kanye,’” the passenger says. “Then he couldn’t decide if he wanted to do ‘The Good Life’ or ‘Gold Digger,’ so he was like, ‘I’ll just do a little bit of both.’ It was awesome… but I still have no idea how he got into the cockpit.”

But the most surprising part of the whole flight, the passenger tells us, is that Kanye wasn’t the first person to get off:

“He filed out in line with everyone else, and I thought that was pretty cool. Especially for Kanye.”
