Do you do it for the conversation piece. Like the books you have on your coffee table and book shelves that you never read. Like the eclectic music selection you have just because Jay-Z said he likes Coldplay….6years ago. When Galang came out on the Honda commercial you turned the channel but when Paper Planes came out you well knowledgeable about Maya (M.I.A.)
Do you shop at all the “cool” shoe store boutiques because everyone has dope colorway kicks now, but don’t know the names or even a small amount of information about the design concept or designer. Do you even know who Tinker Hatfield is? Did you do like everyone else and hop from AF1..to..Dunks..to..Jordan 1’s..to..Air Stab’s..to..AirMax90..to..AMax1’s..to..Jordan 4’s..to..CourtForces..to..Blazers just because your lame ass didn’t know shit about kicks. We only bounced around to get away from you. (And those aren’t Blazers now..there Classic’s and Toki’s). Now we gotta compete with u dude that jumped off Creative Rec’s shit to Clae’s. The same dudes that can’t tell a Chuck Taylor from a Weapon. The same dudes that don’t know there are AF-II’s and III’s. Speaking of runners/ trainers when your have your convos outside “ANY” bar or club and the only thing u can come up with is a 95’ (cause that’s your only knowledge) and you give me a blank stare when I bring up Hurrache, Air Raid, Tn (Tune) Air, Air Turbulence, Structure or Pegasus. Just finish smoking your cigarette and walk away.
This is not a Public Service Announcement…these are just some thoughts on my mind. I’m not saying you have to like everything or be knowledgeable about everything. Just don’t be “That Person” So seeing how this is just a rant ima get back to pulling out my Forces for summer just so you dumb niggas can clown. Bet you think my AFII’s are Dunk Hi’s.
